Carolina Journal: Libertarians running for General Assembly

“Wake County voters will have more choices in the 2018 state election.Thirteen Wake County Libertarians are running in 13 of 16 General Assembly districts.” writes Lindsay Marchello for Carolina Journal.

“The time may be right for Libertarian candidates to make waves, said David McLennan, director of the Meredith Poll and professor of political science at Meredith College. McLennan said the political climate is more amenable to third-party candidates. State polling data, such as the recent Meredith Poll, shows approval ratings for both major parties below 50 percent.”
